Last night, a friend asked me, "what are you doing for Poo for Valentine's Day?"
"Ummmmm," I thought deeply and then replied, "nothing. I hate these Hallmark Holidays."
The commercialization of Valentine's Day is over the top, especially in Bangkok, and it makes me sick. I would like to believe that every day is Valentine's Day.
My friend lambasted me. When I got home I told the story to Poo and fortunately she agreed with me. "What's important is what you do every day, not on these holidays."
Still, I feel guilty. This morning, Thun woke up early and went to the market to buy a rose. When he returned, Poo espied him. "Who is the rose for?" she giggled, "do you have a secret girlfriend?"
"No, Mommy, it is for you!"
