Like Being in a Foreign Country

Had a golfing weekend at Evergreen Hills Golf Club in Kanchanaburi. Two days of golf and a nice hotel room--the entire package was 2200 Baht, about $65. Man, I love this country.

Naturally, the golf course was full of Koreans. Those Koreans love golf--maybe they flew in for the weekend. The buffet was full of kim-chi. At one point we were sitting in the restaurant and we were the only non-Korean guests in a room full of 100 people.

My friend, who is English, looked around and said, "it's kind of weird--it's like being in a foreign country."

He's been in Thailand a long time.
