Who Paid?

I am in Tibet now. Would it be stupid for me to say: it's beautiful?

The whirlwind tour of China is turning out OK. The Forbidden City (now called the Palace Museum) is amazing. There I saw Buddhist scriptures written in gold ink on black paper that make the Declaration of Independence look like a piece of tissue paper. It reminds me of something that one of my Korean friends said: "if you go to a museum in Korea or China, you learn about Korea or China; if you go to a museum in a Western country, you learn which countries it has invaded."

However, three days in Beijing was enough. The air pollution there was overwhelming. How are they going to run a marathon in that stuff?

Somebody (anonymous, we're wondering if it's M-rock's wife) commented on the "Hustled" blog and asked "who paid?" The girls offered to pay some, and we managed to get slightly more than 1/10th the cost out of them. The Polish guy paid more than the girls but less than us. We have been wondering ever since: was the Polish guy part of the con job?
