The End is Near

I don’t have many readers on this blog, so there are only a few comments and even fewer questions, so first let me answer Lily’s question: what is a codpiece?

A codpiece is a theatrical garment wrapped around the groin. If you scroll down and look at that tight burnt orange wrap clinging to Superman’s private parts, that’s a codpiece. They were prominent during Elizabethan times, so English teachers, Drama teachers and other grown-ups who like Shakespeare get excited by them; that’s why Ms. Stanton had a joyful reaction. Essentially, codpieces are
men’s bikini briefs that are worn on the outside, not the inside.

Although traditionally an item of men’s clothing, not women’s clothing, our school likes to be innovative and take risks, even fashion risks, so the codpiece would make an excellent addition to our school uniform.

One day left! Several students have asked if I will update the blog during the summer. Why not?
