Mr Barry

Today I went back to visit my old school. It was nice to see the old students again, especially Cindy and Ji-Young, who were very nice.

There are four new math teachers there, and they all are doing well. The students don't complain about them. But the students who have Mr Barry, that old dinosaur, were the happiest.

"Oh, Mr Barry's class is so much fun!" they told me, "today he was reading your blog in class!"

"What?" I interjected, disbelieving.

"He was reading your blog in class!"

"You mean?" I asked for clarification, "he was reading my blog in the classroom, or during class time?"

"During class time!" they answered emphatically.

"Wait a minute," I said, "he's not supposed to do that! He should be teaching Calculus!"

"We know," they responded, "but he did it!"

Mr Barry, like me, tries to create a relaxed and humorous atmosphere in his class.

Now, if you're reading this, Mr Barry, stop reading this blog, go to the board, and solve some problems!

But it is only 7:24 am! There are no students here yet, which is actually a bit surprising as usually a few of the homeroom have turned up by now. So I have no problems to solve for anyone. And why didn't you visit me if you were in school? And how about that special after school Wednesday meeting? You have been noticably absent ...
