We are on holiday now, it's Songkran, the weather at the country house is beautiful, and the children are having fun splashing water on each other.
I should be happy, but unfortunately, one of my good friends is going through some terrible sadness right now, and it is weighing me down with a heavy heart.
It's not easy to find a happy family in this life, but it is probably the best thing you can have. I have been lucky to have two: I grew up in one, and now I'm the father in another. I know a lot of rich people who don't have that, and a happy family is more important than money, status, power, or anything like that.
I called my mother for her 84th birthday, and she told me how much she loves the blog! That's pretty cool, when you think about it: 84 and surfing the net! If there is one thing that's as important as a happy family, it's a healthy body and mind. Opinionated as ever, Mom is complaining about California and missing her beloved birthplace of Oregon. She also told me that I'm lucky to have a job that I like and to have such good mathematics students. She finished: "You won't find that in America!"
Happy Birthday, Mom!

Mr. Mick your blogs are truly insightful...I actually really recognized in the past month that I am not the only kid being pressurized.....haha maybe i should work harder....
OR maybe the school should give us less work!.....and some more fun.
But not complaining, whatever we do now will help us out in the future i guess...
