I went to the Aussie pub after work, which was filled with Aussies yesterday, but today at stumps there were only me, an Indian, and an Aussie who refused to admit it (he called himself a Possum: half- OZ, half Pom) who said, "I'm cheering against Australia because I am so embarrassed at the way they're behaving."
The Indian and I became fast friends.
I'm just an American, so I don't know a lot about cricket, and I'm not too good at lip-reading Australian English, so can somebody explain to me, what was Tait saying during his run-up on the last ball of the day, and was that the 9th ball or the 10th ball of the over??
To my readers who don't follow cricket (Hi Mom and Matt!), my mother has weighed in on the US elections:
I am already SO TIRED of the campaign tidbits and we have 10 more months of it! And they are all boobs! I like John Edwards first but he has little chance. I like Obama next. You know and I know that Hillary is totally wired into big business and all the lobbyists and I fear she could not get elected. There are a lot of people who do not like her and even more who are tired of Bushes and Clintons.
Well said, Mom! I come by my political opinions honestly.
