The Australians are praising Anil Kumble's performance, saying "it's good for cricket to have a contest."
Of course they assume that they will crush India in the end. We will see.
All the Australians we have met have been very nice, and there was a good spirit at the MCG yesterday. Security was out of control, though. They threw out 100 patrons, all Australians or New Zealanders. They banned the Mexican wave, were confiscating beach balls, and ganged up on a bunch of New Zealand youths who wore towels around their heads, cheered India, and sang, "we're the Swami Army." When they held up a sign that said, "7 - 11, supporting Indians around the globe!" they were expelled.
Ridiculous.
