Seoul is crazy about Mozart. His music seems to be everywhere--coming out of phones, elevators, subway speakers, etc.
Today I went looking for a Monet exhibition but ended up at a Mozart exhibition instead. It was interesting, with music throughout and artifacts like his violin, a lock of his hair, and the original score to the first piece of music he wrote (when he was five).
It was also typically modern--Korean style. For example, at one stall I didn't know what to do so I pushed the big, red button. A computer then took my photo and simulated the roll of 36 dice. Based on the outcomes of the dice, the computer then composed a "Mozart Minuet" and printed out its score together with my photo, while a cartoon Wolfgang was conducting the piece.
Fine, but that wasn't all. As I was leaving, a gorgeous woman took the score from my hand, bowed, smiled and sat down at the piano and played it beautifully! Then she stood up, returned the score to me, bowed, smiled again, and said, "Wonderful."
That's what I call 'multi-media'.
