Back in Asia

I'm happy to be back in Korea (just the airport) and joyous to be headed home to Thailand.

I got on a computer to read about Iraq winning the Asian Cup. That's an amazing story. Those feeble Australians complained about the heat and humidity in Bangkok. They should stick to cricket, where they get tea and drinks breaks. Meanwhile, the Iraqis were training on 40 degree sandlots in foreign countries while their families were being murdered by car bombs.

I was feeling emotional about leaving my Mom, so my entry the other day (It's all good) was messed up. It's NOT all good. The USA is a country with serious problems: unnecessary wars, extreme violence, an illiterate president, an outrageous divide between rich and poor, angry racism, a dysfunctional health care system, rotting schools, and a generation of teenagers that prefers video games, reality TV and wannabe gangstaism to study or work.

I mean seriously: any country that would give a Reality TV show to Victoria Beckham is in deep trouble. What are they gonna call it: Billionairess Soccer Mom?
